Turn Your Laptop into a WiFi Hotspot

With this post you can convert your Windows XP, Windows7 and Vista laptop in a Wireless HotSpot. Ones you convert your laptop in to wireless HotSpot, you can connect any of you wifi gadgets with your laptop network without any router, switch, hub, etc

you just need Active Cable/USB Internet, WiFi on Laptop

Windows 7/Vista
1 ) Open Start Menu
2 ) Click on "Control Panel" to open it
3 ) Click on "Network and Internet" Option.
4 ) Click on “Network and Sharing Centre” on "Control Panel" list
5 ) Under Tasks options, choose “Setup New Connection or network”
6 ) Select "Set up a wireless ad hoc(computer to computer) network” fom "Choose a connection option"
7 ) Click on "Next"
8 ) Now type network name you want in a “Network Name”
9 ) Choose “WEP” password if you don’t want to share the connection with anyone, or select "No authentication(Open)" to create open network
10 ) Select "Save this network" Checkbox and click "Next"
11 ) Click “Internet connection sharing”
12 ) Click "Close"

Windows XP
1 ) Open Start Menu
2 ) Click on "Control Panel" to open it

3 ) Open “Network Connections”
4 ) Right click on "Wireless Connection" and click on "Properties"
5 ) Open on the "Wireless Networks" tab and select the check-box “Use Windows to configure my wireless network settings”
6 ) Under “Prefered networks” option click on “Add”
7 ) Type a network name you want in “Network name” text box
8 ) Select “Shared” from the options under “Network Authentication”
9 ) Under Data encryption select “WEP” and type in your password in “Network Key” field, or select "No authentication(Open)" to create open network and now click "OK"
10 ) new HotSpot should show in the list of preferred networks.
11 ) Click on the “Advance” button and select “Computer-to-computer (ad hoc) networks only" and close form
12 ) Click “OK"

Now time for some common steps for Windows XP/Vista/7 to change something in the wired connection setting
13 ) Go to local Area Connections, right click it and select properties

To open Network Connections, click Start, click Control Panel, click Network and Internet Connections, and then click Network Connections 
14 ) Go to the “Advanced” tab in windows XP and "Sharing" tab in Windows7/Vista
15 ) Check the option “Allow other network users to connect through this computer’s internet connection”
16 ) Click "Ok"

Now your wireless Hotspot is ready for use.
